Once the Customer is created, you’ll land on the Customer page. Here, you can create Control Systems, and add Rooms and Scenes.
The first task is to create a Control System for the Customer. Click Add Control Systems next to Control System Details, and a popup will appear for you to input details about the desired Control System.
All systems will require a Name. This Name can be anything you wish; it’s only used for integrators to distinguish between the control systems they set up for customers. It’s worth noting that if you edit the name of a control system after creating devices that use it, you may not be able to use those devices. To remedy this, click Edit on the device, and re-select the control system you need for that device.
If required, IP Address is your external IP address. This can be either a static external address, or a host name from a dynamic DNS service, such as dyn.com. This will only be required for Push, C-Bus (NAC/SHAC and Wiser 2) and KNX control systems.
Device Local IP is the IP address of the unit as it sits on your local network. Currently, this is only needed when using a Smart Voice Bridge, although it may become more useful with future development.
Port is the communications port required to communicate to the control system. This will only be required for Push, C-Bus (NAC/SHAC and Wiser 2) and KNX control systems.
Username and Password are the credentials required to log in to your chosen control system. This is required for Wiser 2, NAC/SHAC, Nero and KNX control systems. Keep in mind the level of access you have granted to the username you provide; for example, if you provide the username and password for a profile on a Wiser 2 that only has three devices available, you will only have access to those three devices on the Smart Voice portal, just as you would though the Wiser 2 app. Where possible, these credentials are sent via an encrypted connection.
Once you have entered the details for your control system, click the Submit button at the bottom of the form. The control system will be added to the list of control systems allocated to the client.
When the submit button is pressed, Smart Voice may communicate to your control system to exchange authentication data. If your system cannot be successfully added, ensure your device is powered on, connected to an internet connect, and if required, has ports opened up on the modem to communicate with Smart Voice.
