Smart Voice is a solution to link automation systems including C-Bus, Environexus Nero, Push Controls and Airtopia to voice control devices from Amazon (Alexa), Google (Voice Assistant), and Apple (Siri). For Alexa and Google, this service is cloud-based, meaning there is no other on-site hardware required. Apple Siri support requires use of our Smart Voice Bridge to provide voice control.
Installation of Smart Voice is performed by the integrator of smart home technologies, who are given access to our Smart Voice portal for client creation and management. Changes can be made remotely, so there is no need for integrators to go onsite when changes are required (although we strongly suggest testing is performed on site!).
Smart Voice has been featured on two seasons of The Block, where we first demonstrated it in the Challenge Apartment in 2016, and through most of the series in 2018. Our feature on The Block created significant customer demand for voice control of smart home devices, and integrators for Smart Voice have been keeping very busy installing home automation systems compatible with Smart Voice to provide clients with incredible control of the lights and blinds.
Where possible, all communications from our cloud service to control systems is encrypted. See our other support articles for more details on encrypted communication.
